Capacity Building at Strathmore University

Hands-On Training: Building Youth Capacity at Strathmore University

As part of the 37th edition of the RES4Africa Foundation Academy’s Technical and Vocational School, hosted at Strathmore University’s Energy Research Centre, Raynow Energy joined a powerful partnership with the Micro Grid Academy, Sapienza Università di Roma, and Makerere University to support youth capacity-building in the renewable energy sector.

The training brought together 21 young professionals from Kenya, Uganda, Zambia, and Tanzania for a hands-on learning experience focused on decentralized renewable energy, local development, and the critical water-energy-food nexus.

During the technical sessions, Raynow Energy showcased the SolarCleano F1 robot, an advanced tool for automated solar panel cleaning, and presented ChemiTek solar cleaning solutions, highlighting the importance of proper maintenance for long-term performance. Our team also facilitated knowledge-sharing sessions on solar system upkeep and real-world energy applications, ensuring participants gained practical, actionable skills.
